WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN
Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) uses the power of food to heal communities and strengthen economies in times of crisis and beyond. WCK has created a new model for disaster response through its work helping devastated communities recover and establish resilient food systems. WCK has served more than 45 million fresh meals to people impacted by natural disasters and other crises around the world in countries including The Bahamas, Indonesia, Lebanon, Mozambique, Venezuela, and the United States. WCK’s Resilience Programs in the Caribbean and Central America have trained hundreds of chefs and school cooks, advanced clean cooking practices, and awarded grants to farms, fisheries and small food businesses while also providing training and networking opportunities.
“Just like World Central Kitchen uses the power of food to heal and strengthen communities in times of crisis and beyond, Fund by Photo uses the power of art to uplift these communities. We are so grateful to you for your support of our like-minded mission.”

DC CENTRAL KITCHEN
DC Central Kitchen (DCCK) is a nonprofit and social enterprise that combats hunger and poverty through job training and job creation. The organization provides hands-on culinary job training for individuals facing high barriers to employment while creating living wage jobs and bringing nutritious, dignified food where it is most needed. DCCK’s social ventures include serving scratch-cooked farm-to-school meals in DC schools, delivering fresh, affordable produce to corner stores in neighborhoods without supermarkets, and operating a fast-casual cafe.
“DC Central Kitchen, whose chosen tool for changing lives is food, is delighted to team with Fund by Photo, whose chosen tool for community support is music photography. Our partnership helps to support people disproportionately hurt by the same pandemic that disrupted DC’s iconic music scene.”
